Ah! Tokio Hotel are back in Germany – and BILD was there.
Normally, press conferences aren’t, most of the time, places to be. Muddy questions, the traditional responses. But it… was not the case with Tokio Hotel on Thursday.
In the Berlin “Babylon” cinema, the Kaulitz brothers have invited a panel of people and openly spoke of sex, tobacco and the pressure of success. The opportunity: their new album “Kings Of Suburbia” comes out this Friday. The press and 100 lucky fans (tickets were only to win) are there for the musical return of this teen group. In front of the cinema, elderly (press) and young people (fans) are activated and are excited before the event. first: inside the Immaculate building, there are places to take. The fans are 95% women. Only a few boys, with a hairstyle in memory of Bill Kaulitz. They take their laptops in the air, looking for the slightest movement – in row 19.
WHERE ARE THE BOYS?
Patience – the host announces a 25-minute film on the life of the Kaulitz brothers. 25 minutes later, we learned this:

Music: indeed, it is really good. The synth pop recalls partially Coldplay. But there is still another sound. The screams begin!
THE four boys are there (Yes, Georg and Gustav are also there)! From the 15th row, fans shout – in the first row, it is the photographers who shout (distinctly stronger). A photograpy, then a smile. “Please, put you all behind my camera”, the favourite sentence of photographers. I told myself: ‘dude, Bill grew up. Then, my eyes slipped down. Oops, what is his shoes?
Bill and Tom have 30 minutes to answer the questions of the press.
Bill: “It isn’t a return, since we never separated us.
Tom: “we just did the first live tests. Gustav and Georg are rusty. (everyone laughs – no, not everyone.) Georg and Gustav don’t reply).
Of course, the strange blue thing with the proboscis in the clip “Girl Got A Gun” was also discussed.

Ah ! Les Tokio Hotel sont de retour en Allemagne – et BILD était là.
Normalement, les conférences de presse ne sont, la plupart du temps, pas des endroits où il faut être. Des questions vaseuses, des réponses classiques. Mais ça n’était pas ainsi ce jeudi avec Tokio Hotel.
Dans le cinéma berlinois « Babylon », les frères Kaulitz ont invités tout un panel de personnes et ont ouvertement parlé de sexe, de tabac et de la pression du succès.
L’occasion : leur nouvel album « Kings Of Suburbia » sort ce vendredi.
La presse et 100 fans chanceux (les billets étaient seulement à gagner) sont là pour le retour musical de l’ancien groupe adolescence.
Devant le cinéma, des personnes âgées (presse) et des jeunes (fans) s’activent et gigotent devant l’excitation de qui arrivera le premier : A l’intérieur du bâtiment immaculé, il y a des places à prendre.
Les fans se composent de 95 % de femmes. Seulement quelques garçons, avec une coiffure en mémoire à Bill Kaulitz, tiennent leurs portables en l’air, a l’affut du moindre mouvement – dans la rangée 19.
OU SONT LES GARÇONS ?
Patience – l’animatrice annonce, dans un premier temps, un film de 25 minutes sur la vie des frères Kaulitz à LA… 25 minutes plus tard, nous avons appris ceci :
★ Bill et Tom aiment s’asseoir sur leur lit.
★ L’Allemagne leur manque, surtout les délicieux petits pains.
★ Ils fument plus qu’en Allemagne, car les cigarettes sont terribles aux USA.
★ Tom ressemble au chanteur du groupe de métal « Machine Head » quand celui-ci était jeune.
Puis, l’animatrice a une vraie surprise en réserve : Trois nouvelles chansons ! « We Found Us », « Stormy Weather » et « We Found Us ».
Quelle amabilité : les fans ne sont pas empêchés d’enregistrer les chansons diffusées.
La musique : A vrai dire, elle est vraiment bien. Le pop-synthé rappelle partiellement Coldplay.
Mais reste quand même un autre son. Les cris commencent !
LES QUATRE GARÇONS SONT LA (oui, Georg et Gustav sont aussi là) !
A partir de la 15ème rangée, les fans crient – à la première rangée, ce sont les photographes qui crient (distinctement plus fort). Photographier par ci, sourire par là. « S’il vous plaît, mettez-vous tous devant MON appareil photo », la phrase préférée des photographes.
Je me dit en moi-même : « Mec, Bill a grandi ». Puis, mes yeux ont glissé vers le bas. Oups, c’est quoi ses chaussures ?
Bill et Tom ont 30 minutes pour répondre aux questions de la presse.
Bill : « Ce n’est pas un retour, puisque nous ne nous sommes jamais séparé ».
Tom : « Nous venons justement de faire les premiers essais live. Gustav et Georg sont rouillés ». (tout le monde rit – non, pas tout le monde. Georg et Gustav restent de marbre).
Bien sûr, la chose bleue un peu étrange avec la trompe dans le clip « Girl Got A Gun » a aussi été évoquée.
Bill : « Nous avons trouvé amusante la peluche et nous espérons que les gens en sourient ».
Tom : « J’ai remarqué par la suite le zizi de la peluche bleue. A vrai dire, nous voulions l’avoir ici aussi aujourd’hui, mais il n’a pas pu passer la douane.
Nous restons sur ce thème : Comment doit-on interpréter la scène de sexe en masse dans le clip « Love Who Loves You Back » ?
Bill : « J’ai toujours voulu faire un clip comme ça. J’ai été inspiré par le film « Das Parfüm ». Au départ, je ne devais pas du tout participer à la scène câline. Mais je voulais vraiment y participer – je n’ai pas froid aux yeux. La première comédienne a beaucoup utiliser sa langue ».
Les garçons sont-ils pubères ?
Tom : « Nous l’étions déjà, avant de déménager aux USA ».
La vraie raison de la « fuite » à Los Angeles ?
Bill : « Nous n’avions plus de vie en dehors de Tokio Hotel – nous avons dû partir.
Tom : « Nous ne voulions pas quitter les fans, mais nous étions à la recherche de normalité. Nous voulions d’une vie normale ».
La pression du succès ?
Bill : « Non. Et même si ça ne fonctionne pas dans un pays, ça fonctionnera dans un autre pays. Nous avons une grande assise – c’est pourquoi nous sommes vraiment détendus ».
Tom : « Pour moi, les tournées sont le plus grand succès. Nous sommes justement en train de planifier une tournée pour 2015 ». (les fans crient)
Après 20 minutes, Georg et Gustav peuvent y aller : Comment allez-vous ?
Gustav : Super.
Georg : Bien.
Qu’êtes-vous donc impatient de faire ici, à Berlin ?
Bill : « Je n’ai encore jamais été au Berghain et je veux absolument y aller. J’espère réussir cette fois ».
Thème tabac : Vous voyez-vous comme des modèles ?
Bill : « Non. Nous ne voulons pas faire semblant ».
Tom : « Personne ne fume parce que nous fumons ».
Fin du travail. Tom et Bill sont de véritables moulins à paroles. Mais décontractés et aimables. S’en suit ensuite la séance de dédicaces, car maintenant, c’est au tour des fans. Chacun a sa photo, chacun à son autographe et quelques paroles légères. Formidable.
